As one of the bedroom communities in the St. Cloud region, the City of Sartell prides itself on amenities like parks and trails that attract and retain its residents. The city continues to pursue ways to make these amenities more usable and attractive.

The park shelters are a balance between modest construction costs, energy efficiency, and low maintenance. Mechanical, plumbing and electrical equipment selections were made with the input of the city to align with these goals.

The City of Sartell is continually challenged to keep pace with growing demands for park and recreational facilities. There is currently 11 acres of parkland per 1,000 residents, which meets the City goal of 10 acres of parkland per 1,000 residents.
