Grant County Offices
Elbow Lake, MN
Challenge:
Creating a functioning space to consolidate public departments including Public Health, Social Services, Human Resources and Veterans Affairs.
Solution/What Worked:
Design Tree and JLG architects worked closely together on this project to create spaces which worked for each of the different stake holders and fell within the Owner’s budget. Building included state of the art mechanical systems, LED lighting and several energy saving techniques. Overall the project was completed about $500,000 under the Owner’s budget.
Fun Fact:
Existing generator was the wrong voltage. Design Tree team provided options, finding that using the existing generator and reconfiguring it to match the new building's voltage system saved the County quite a bit of money.
