Challenge:
A growing congregation and an aging building created the demand for an addition to the worship space and remodeling the existing spaces. The existing church lies in an urban center so there were significant site constraints. As with most worship projects budget was a strong consideration.
Solution/What Worked:
To manage the budget close communication occurred with the church building committee and user groups to define and prioritize bidding alternates. Underground stormwater management techniques were implemented so that parking and stormwater management could take place in the same footprint.
Fun Fact:
Bids were received and the project came in under budget so all alternates were able to be accepted!!
