Design Tree Engineering played a pivotal role in the redevelopment of the 325 Blake Rd Building A (Chorus Apartments) project in Hopkins, MN. This large-scale, five-story apartment building features high-end amenities such as bike storage, an onsite spa, a clubroom, daycare facilities, grill stations, and in-unit laundry, all designed to enhance the quality of living for its residents. As part of a master redevelopment plan for the entire site, our team was integral in shaping the future development of adjacent areas.

We selected a high-end VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) HVAC system to maximize ceiling heights and ensure efficient climate control throughout the building. The project also involved a complex plumbing plan and an underground garage, which benefited from our deep understanding and strong relationship with the Department of Labor and Industry (DoLI) plumbing review process. The project received SB2030 funding and achieved a high standard of sustainable design, reflecting our commitment to both affordability and quality. We are proud of our contribution to this project, which successfully blends high-end finishes and aesthetics with a focus on providing valuable housing options for the residents of Hopkins.
