Recognizing the Mississippi riverfront as one of its great community assets, the City of Sauk Rapids transformed adjacent Southside and Lions Parks into The Clearing, a year-round community venue and park complex featuring a high-tech event center, outdoor amphitheater, interactive water feature, scenic river overlook, and direct river access for fishing and kayaking.

Design Tree provided MEP engineering services for the project's key facilities. Our mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design supported the new event center with commercial kitchen, restrooms, and mechanical room, as well as a mini gathering building serving park visitors. Our team also engineered the splash pad's recirculating water system, delivering an efficient, low-maintenance solution that keeps the amenity sustainable for the City to operate season after season.
